Catawba Lands Conservancy celebrated the work and dedication of our
300 volunteers at an afternoon picnic on McCoy Farm.

Attended by nearly 60 people, fun was had by young, old, and goat alike.
Tom and Robin McCoy donated a conservation easement on 50 acres of
their working farm in late 2006. This location, with Gar Creek
running through the property, rolling hills, and
farm animals bounding about was the perfect setting for an afternoon
gathering. As a
bluegrass band played in the background, volunteers,
staff and members of the Conservancy Board of Directors enjoyed barbecue
and learned of the many new volunteer
opportunities available in 2007.
